3M Glass Cloth Electrical Tape 69 is a 7 mil woven glass cloth tape with a silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive, 3/4 inch wide by 66 feet long per roll. The silicone adhesive forms a thermosetting bond that increases in strength at elevated temperatures, making this tape distinctively suited for environments where heat exposure is continuous or cyclical rather than incidental.
Typical applications include motor lead insulation, coil wrapping, furnace and oven control wiring, switches, and high-temperature splicing in industrial plants, electrical contracting, and OEM equipment manufacturing. The white color aids visual identification within wiring assemblies where multiple tape types are used.
The woven glass cloth backing is edge-tear resistant, flame resistant, and conformable enough to wrap cleanly around cylindrical and irregular surfaces. The tape is rated for wire insulation and splicing at voltages up to 3,000V across an operating range of 32°F to 392°F. Sold in cases of 50 rolls, parcel-friendly.
